Smooth operation and long life are the benefits The graph above illustrates a TREKMASTER damping force curve compared to an original equipment shock curve. On the rebound side, the TREKMASTER uses less resistance at low piston velocities for better traction and ride. Increased resistance occurs at medium to high piston velocities to control chassis pitch and lean. The TREKMASTER uses enough compression damping to keep the tires on the road, but not so much that traction and ride quality suffer.
