Our Dodge Charger engine cover looks so good it has become the centerpiece in our own conference room.  This is a truly great example of building the ultimate rather than just the ordinary.  Taking the lessons learned from our involvement with Mopar and the SRT4 community we set out to build a FULL REPLACEMENT! 

 

This engine cover begins with an extra heavy 5.7 oz yard of 3K carbon fiber straight from our aerospace materials room.  The carbon is laid into a high temperature gel coated tool.  A special high temperature resin system is mixed and added, and stiffeners are inserted in key locations.  Separately, lightweight standoffs are molded to accept the OEM rubber grommets.  The fully cured and finished cover is then bonded to standoffs using the same adhesive used in bonding aircraft cargo doors.  Own your own example of carbon fiber perfection and explain to all of your friends what carbon is really supposed to look like!
